I found this cartoon in the Metro really enraging today . Here’s why:
1. I haven’t seen any rules about who can or can’t wear short skirts. I am wearing a short skirt today. Will I be arrested? Egged on the street? I wish someone had warned me before I got dressed this morning.
2. What are crap legs? Neither long, nor slender, I don’t think that my legs would pass Rick Brookes’ quality control test, but I would never call them crap. Apart from providing me with a free method of getting from A to B, they’re just legs. I don’t think much about them at all. The only reason for me not to show them in public is if I was worried that they would offend other people. And I am not. Sorry about that.
3. So, how is someone randomly assaulting a stranger on the street because of how they look funny?
Some people might say ‘chill out it’s just one cartoon.’
I say if only it was just one fucking cartoon.
